Oscar Stokes, a PIP favorite on both sides of the curtain, passed away on Thursday, April 27th, 2006.
OSCAR will be remembered by PIP audiences for his delightful performances as Erronius in A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, Smee in PETER PAN, Sir Jasper Tring in ME AND MY GIRL, Marvin in CALIFORNIA SUITE and The Major in TITANIC.
Professionally, he performed with Sandy Duncan in the Broadway production of Peter Pan and Ben Vereen in the Broadway production of Grind. He also made several appearances on the Jack Paar Show and the Gary Moore Show television programs, as well as on the soap operas, As the World Turns and The Guiding Light.
Oscar brought love and laughter to everyone he knew, and he will be missed terribly on stage and off. |
