Composer Jerry Herman is well known for many classic musicals such as HELLO, DOLLY! and MAME, but of all his famous works, he considers MACK AND MABEL is shining hour. It is the story of Mack Sennett, the man FAMOUS FOR THE silent Movie Comedies, and his love affair with his leading lady, Mabel Normand. Featuring tap dancing Bathing Beauties, bumbling Keystone Kops, pie fights and lots of slapstick, MACK AND MABEL boasts such brilliant music as “TIME HEALS EVERYTHING”, “I WON’T SEND ROSES” and “MOVIES WERE MOVIES”. See it at PIP before its slated Broadway revival.
